The client, a world leader in pharmaceutical solutions for drug development and commercial manufacturing, asked HIPP to assist in the upgrade and expansion of select utilities supporting its manufacturing operations at their Greenville, NC location. Preliminary utility assessments were conducted by a third party to determine the initial utility infrastructure upgrades needed to meet the client's operational requirements. HIPP then reviewed and validated the data given to them and collected system documentation and performed field surveys to close any gaps identified in the initial assessment.
After surveying the site, HIPP then developed a detailed design for the utility upgrades to meet the client's production demands. HIPP’s design was also planned for a phased execution so that implementation of the upgrades can be performed during shutdowns or aligned to capital constraints. Additionally, a review of the previous utility assessment was conducted, to collection of necessary field data and the development of engineering calculations were performed to confirm usage, capacities and constraints of each utility before design began.
